These terms cover your use of ExpiryOwl (the website at expiryowl.com, the dashboard, the API, the widget and the free tools), provided by A.Rahman Abdulla Mufarreh Abdulla Mufarrah, an individual based in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
ExpiryOwl checks SSL/TLS certificates, domain registrations, DNS records and website availability for hosts you add, and sends alerts and reports about them. We make reasonable efforts to run checks on schedule and deliver alerts, but monitoring is a safety net, not a guarantee: networks fail, registries rate-limit, email gets delayed. You remain responsible for renewing your own certificates and domains.
2. Your account
- You need a valid email address. Keep your password and API keys secret; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may only monitor hosts that you own, operate, or have permission to monitor (for example, as the agency that looks after them).
- One person or organisation per account. Team members get their own seats.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use the service or the free tools to attack, overload or probe systems you have no permission to test, to get around rate limits, to resell raw check data as a competing service, or to break the law. We may suspend accounts or block traffic that does.
4. Plans, payment and cancellation
- The free plan is free, with the limits shown on the pricing page. We may change free-plan limits with 30 days' notice.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, whose terms also apply to the purchase.
- You can cancel at any time. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period; we don't refund partial periods except where the law requires it.
- Your first payment for a paid plan comes with a 14-day money-back promise. The refund and cancellation policy has the details.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
5. Your data
You own the data you put in (hostnames, client names, contacts) and the reports generated for you. You give us permission to process it only to run the service. You can export or delete it at any time. The privacy policy explains what we collect and who helps us process it.
6. Availability and changes
We may change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel with a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue caused by an expired certificate or domain. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from the settings page. We may close accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable. On closure we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices, held by Paddle).
